PF2e Creature Size Matters
PF2e normalizes damage across creature sizes — a Gargantuan dragon and a Medium fighter deal damage as if size is purely cosmetic. This module fixes that.
When a larger creature successfully hits a smaller one in melee, a GM-facing card appears in chat with:
- Bonus damage scaled to the size differential (fully configurable)
- Reflex save prompt with draggable condition links (Off-Guard, Prone, Clumsy)
- Critical hit doubling — automatic or manual GM choice
- Post to Chat — sends an inline save check players roll themselves with their own bonuses
- Apply Damage button — one click applies bonus damage to the target
- Treat Small PCs as Medium (new in 1.2.0) — a softer default that removes size category from the equation for Small player characters (gnomes, goblins, halflings, etc.), so ancestry choice isn't penalized. Symmetric (applies whether the Small PC is attacking or defending), PCs only — Small NPCs and monsters keep their true size. Enabled by default; can be disabled for tables that want strict size rules. The chat card shows the normalization (
Small → Medium) when it applies.
All GM-facing by default. No player overhead. Full configuration via module settings.
