# N PF2E Rune Display
A free, standalone Foundry VTT module for Pathfinder Second Edition that makes weapon and armor property runes easier to notice during play.
## Why this module exists
In the standard PF2E interface, property runes are recorded on equipment, but they are not always prominent during the parts of play where players need to remember them. Checking a rune can mean opening an item's details and reviewing its information again. During a fast-moving encounter—or when a character has several weapons and attacks—it's easy to overlook a rune that should be part of the player's decision-making.
**N PF2E Rune Display makes property runes more visible in the interfaces players already use.** It brings rune labels into item sheets, inventory summaries, character-sheet armor displays, and relevant chat messages, helping players notice their equipment's features without repeatedly opening item details.
This module focuses on presentation. It does not change PF2E's property-rune rules, damage calculation, or combat resolution.
## Features
- **Item-sheet labels:** Display property-rune tags on weapon and armor item sheets.
- **Inventory labels:** Show property runes in weapon and armor summaries on character sheets, so the information remains visible while reviewing equipment.
- **Dedicated armor-rune display:** Show the currently worn armor's property runes in a dedicated section on player character sheets, and near the Armor Class (AC) area on NPC sheets. This section can be hidden independently from other rune labels.
- **Chat visibility:** Display weapon property-rune tags on Strike messages, supported NPC Melee messages that can be associated with a weapon, and weapon item cards sent directly to chat.
- **Hover descriptions:** Hover over a rune tag to view the matching runestone's name and description. Where a compatible custom-rune integration supplies usage information, that information can also appear in the tooltip.
- **Native and custom runes:** Display native PF2E property runes. When **N PF2E Runes Improve** is installed and enabled, selected custom property runes can also be displayed through its public API.
- **Optional color distinction:** Use orange for weapon runes and blue for armor runes, making the equipment type easier to recognize at a glance. The color distinction can be disabled.
- **English and Simplified Chinese interface text.**
