Hello and step up to the table for this early access (Ace of Spades+ tiers) release of Gambit's Games!
Once the official release is live, there will be Gambit's Games voting to determine new games to add in the future! This voting will be available to King of Diamonds+ tiers. I will also be soliciting general feedback for games to put up for voting from these tiers, so if you would like to have some involvement in future Games selections consider joining those tiers!
Gambit’s Games is a collection of mini-games for Foundry VTT, bringing quick table activities directly into your scenes. Cast a line from the canvas, play a round of 21, or gather around a Tavern Hold ’Em table with players, NPC seats, wagers, card animations, and GM-friendly controls.
Included Games:
- Fishing — An absolute classic! Some might even say, obligatory. Cast from a selected token, wait for a bite, and complete a tense fishing HUD mini-game to reel in catches!
- 21 — a Blackjack-style card table with player invitations, NPC seats, bets, hit/stand turns, dealer resolution, and results chat.
- Tavern Hold ’Em — a no-limit Texas Hold ’Em style tavern game with stakes, player funds, community cards, betting rounds, all-ins, folds, showdown handling, and optional magical interference.
Game Launcher

Gambit’s Games adds a scene-control group for fast access during play. Open the Games Menu to launch tables, review rules, customize card tables, manage fishing options, and enable or disable individual games.
- Scene controls: access mini-games from the canvas without digging through settings
- GM game manager: enable or disable Fishing, 21, and Tavern Hold ’Em individually
- Player-friendly windows: active rounds automatically open for seated users, with GM and player re-launch options if players close the table
- NPC support: card tables can include scene NPC tokens as GM-controlled seats
Where to find it: Scene Controls → Gambit’s Games → Games Menu
Fishing

Fishing lets players cast from a selected token onto the canvas, watch the bobber drift, and react when something bites. Once hooked, a focused HUD mini-game opens: keep the fish inside the moving target zone long enough to land the catch.
- Canvas casting: select a token, click Cast, then choose a point on the scene to throw the line
- Animated fishing: pole, line, bobber, ripples, hook tension, reeling motion, and optional catchable swim-in animation
- Shared table presence: other connected players can see active fishing casts on the canvas
- Skill-based catch HUD: hold Space or click-and-hold to pull the fish into the target zone before time runs out
- Catch announcements: successful catches and misses post styled results to chat
Catchables Manager:
- Create, edit, enable, disable, import, and export catchables
- Set name, image, rarity, weight, reward, and description
- Choose whether a catchable swims toward the bobber, appears hooked on the bobber, or uses top-down facing rotation
- Built-in catchables include Barnaby the Bass, Marvin the Marlin, Rio the Oarfish, Old Boot, and Gold Boot
Fishing Cosmetics:
- Choose from Wood, Druidic, Infernal, Magical, and Plasma pole styles
- Customize HUD colors for the inner progress ring and fish icon

Fishing settings: Scene Controls → Gambit’s Games → Games Menu → Fishing
21

21 is a Blackjack-style game for the GM and players. Players join the round, place bets, receive cards, and choose whether to Hit or Stand while the dealer resolves the table.
- Guided round flow: launch a round, invite active players, collect bets, deal opening hands, resolve turns, and post results
- Player and NPC seats: active non-GM users are invited automatically, and selected scene NPCs can join as GM-controlled seats
- Classic 21 logic: number cards use printed values, face cards count as 10, aces count as 11 or 1, and hands over 21 bust
- Dealer controls: choose automatic dealer play or GM-controlled dealer decisions for added drama
- Reveal pacing: reveal dealer cards automatically, or let the GM reveal hidden cards manually
- Results summary: final dealer total, player outcomes, bets, wins, losses, and pushes are displayed at the table and posted to chat
21 Table Customization:
- Set the table name, dealer name, and optional dealer portrait
- Customize table felt, win highlight, and loss highlight colors
- Choose between built-in Two-Tone Suits and Standard Suits card designs
- Enable randomized card deal and reveal sounds

Tavern Hold ’Em

Tavern Hold ’Em brings a full tavern-card-table experience to Foundry: mandatory stakes, private hole cards, shared community cards, betting streets, all-ins, folds, and showdown results.
- Texas Hold ’Em style play: each player receives two private hole cards, then five community cards are revealed across the flop, turn, and river
- Mandatory stakes: the GM sets the opening stake when launching the round
- Table funds: players set table funds before joining, and the table tracks committed bets, remaining funds, and pot payouts
- Betting actions: check, call, bet, raise, go all in, or fold as the round advances through each street
- Automated hand evaluation: the table evaluates poker hands from High Card through Straight Flush and resolves winners at showdown
- All-in and split handling: the pot can be distributed across tied winners or all-in contribution levels
- Results summary: final outcomes, committed amounts, winning hands, folds, and pot awards are displayed and posted to chat
Magic Interference:
- Optional GM setting for tavern tables where the dealer can see all hidden cards
- Right-click hidden cards to reveal one card, all of a player’s cards, or unrevealed community cards to a selected player
- Great for cheating NPCs, divination, cursed decks, suspicious patrons, or magical tavern chaos
Tavern Hold ’Em Table Customization:
- Set the table name, dealer name, and optional dealer portrait
- Customize table felt, win highlight, and loss highlight colors
- Choose automatic or manual community-card reveal pacing
- Choose automatic card draws, GM-controlled d10/d4 draws, or player-controlled d10/d4 draws
