New Effect Highlights:
- Lightning Bolts — a brand new filter effect that draws procedural, streaking lightning across the scene.
- Modes: Horizontal, Top‑Down, or Mixed
- Fully tweakable look: thickness, branchiness, length, jitter, glow, brightness, and tint
- Optional sync with FXMaster’s built‑in Lightning flash
- Foundry V13+: optional Thunder‑Aware mode to gate strikes using audio bass transients
FXMaster+ currently includes a number of built‑in effects detailed below, along with the ability to create your own template‑based Particle Effects and manage scene/region sound effects tied to FXMaster effects.

- Sakura Bloom — Sakura petals blowing across the screen
- Sakura Blossom — Sakura petals drifting randomly across the screen
- Magic Crystals — shimmering magic crystals emanating from a centered position, with adjustable spin, glow, and bloom
- Fireflies — wandering fireflies with periodic glow
- Ghosts — spectral drift with adjustable sprites, blur, displacement, glow, and wobble
- Sandstorm — wind‑swept grains of sand
- Fish — Betta, Koi, and Manta Ray fish with numerous sub‑types
- Filter Effects
- Lightning Bolts — procedural bolt streaks (horizontal and/or top‑down strikes) with optional synced flash
- Ice — thick ice sheet with reflection, sheen, underlayer water, and many other tweakable options
- Sunlight — warm beams of sunlight with subtle haze, parallel or radial emanation, and adjustable intensity/volume/length
- Duststorm — multi‑layered sheets of dust with many configuration options
- Glitch — distortion effect with an optional matrix‑style glyph sheet
Sound Effects Manager (Foundry V13+)

FXMaster+ includes a Sound Effects Manager tool that lets you tie sounds to FXMaster / FXMaster+ effects — perfect for adding thunder, wind, insects, etc.
- Rule‑based: create multiple sound rules and enable/disable them at will
- Pick effects: each rule can listen to one or more particle/filter effects
- Multiple sounds per rule:
- Parallel mode (layer sounds together)
- Sequential mode (cycle through sounds)
- Mix controls: per‑sound level, drag‑to‑reorder priority, and configurable fade time
- Optional: pause playlists while a rule is active
- Region audio options: when using effects via Regions, you can constrain/shape how the sound behaves (scene, region‑only, region padding, or point‑source style) with optional easing and wall interaction

User Particle Effects Manager

Create your own custom particle templates using your own sprites, then use them like any other FXMaster particle effect!
- Template bases: build on a Directional Drift or Ambient Float style base
- Bring your own sprites: provide one or more texture paths (multiple textures are randomized)
- Organize cleanly: choose a group (Weather / Ambient / Animals) and set a custom icon
- Works with FXMaster workflows: activate globally from the Particle Effects UI, or apply via Regions (just like built‑ins)
