What is Enhanced Inventory?
Enhanced Inventory replaces the default inventory with a spatial, grid-based system. Items have physical dimensions and take up real space. A dagger is small, a greatsword is long, a barrel is huge, etc....
Now you have to manage actual space, encumberance isn't the main issue anymore.
Features:
-
Grid Inventory
The whole inventory tab becomes a grid. Each item has a width and height. -
Containers
Any container your character is carrying opens its own sub-grid. The grid size is based on the container's capacity, so a small pouch gives you a few cells while a barrel gives you a lot. -
Armor Pockets
Your equipped armor has pockets. Light armor carries more, heavy armor less. Stash a potion in your leather armor, keep a dagger in your chain shirt. -
Item Dimensions & Stacking
Dimensions are fully editable and saved globally. Once you set a longsword to 1x4, every longsword after that remembers. Same with stacking, you can configure how many items fit in a stack, then drag one stack onto another to combine them. -
Not Carrying
Anything that doesn't fit on your grid, or that gets added to your inventory from other modules like Item Piles or vendor modules, lands in the "Not Carrying" section. These items don't count toward encumbrance because your character isn't actually carrying them. -
Everything Else
All the options you're used to are still there. Attunement, favorites, duplicate, delete, display in chat, double-click to use, hover tooltips. -
Equipment Panel
-
A paper-doll style panel sits next to your character sheet.
-
Two body silhouettes to choose from, switchable per character.
-
Drag items into slots to equip, drag them out to unequip. Each slot can be toggled between mechanically equipped or just cosmetic.
-
There's an edit mode that lets you reposition the slots anywhere on the silhouette if the default layout doesn't work for you.
-
-
Custom slot templates
-
GMs can create templates with different slot types, custom icons (included or your own), and unique layouts. Assign different templates to different characters. Want a four-armed character with extra weapon slots? Build a template for that.
