BLFX Animation Editor
Overview
A Boss Loot module that lets you build complex VFX/SFX sequences triggered by items, spells, and abilities, using assets from BLFX Asset Packs or other libraries like JB2A. It also includes built-in Auto-Recognition for D&D 5e, which automatically plays animations and sounds whenever a spell, weapon, ability, or class feature is used.
Auto-Recognition is a work in progress, and we expand the supported list every month. You can see current coverage in the #blfx-roadmap channel on Discord.
Animation Editor
The Animation Editor is a utility that lets you attach animations to items. It can be opened from the item's header bar. In D&D 5e (v5), click the three dots menu and select BLFX. Add animations per activity (for example: After Attack, After Active Effects, After Template Placed, etc.).
The Animation Editor is currently compatible with the following systems:
- D&D 5e (v3, v4, v5)
- Pathfinder 2e (PF2e)
- DC20
Animation Preview
The Animation Preview is another BLFX tool that allows you to quickly browse and test animations. It can be opened directly from the Animation Editor or from the Foundry left toolbar (must be enabled in module settings). Browse animations by pack and preview up to six assets at once from any collection registered in Sequencer.
