Augur: Sci-Fi

An Add-on Module by Augur Studios

Publisher: Augur Studios Purchase: Publisher Foundry Versions 13 to 14 (Verified 14) Last Updated 3 days, 13 hours ago

Generate complete sci-fi sectors, star systems, planets, moons, asteroid belts, ships, NPCs, factions, and more—all directly inside Foundry VTT.

Sector and Star System Generation:

Generate campaign-scale, hex-based sectors containing linked star systems organized through Augur: Nexus. Choose the sector size and system density, select a space background, and customize how systems are displayed with star markers, world icons, labels, and optional stellar halos.

Create complete star systems in seconds by choosing a stellar class, planet count, and generation conditions. Augur: Sci-Fi distributes planets across orbital bands, generates their properties, adds moons and asteroid belts, configures lighting, and prepares the animated system scene automatically.

Binary, Trinary, and Animated Star Systems:

Generate systems with one, two, or three suns using the familiar O, B, A, F, G, K, and M stellar spectral classes. Each sun can have its own class, image, light color, and editable orbital path. Companion stars may also be added, replaced, or removed from existing systems.

Stars, planets, moons, ships, and sites can orbit in real time. Adjust speed, direction, eccentricity, and orbital placement directly on the canvas, or attach vessels and other objects to existing paths. Multi-star systems remain visible throughout sector markers, system previews, world previews, planet scenes, and moon scenes.

Planets, Moons, and Explorable Sites:

Travel from a sector map into a star system and then into dedicated planet, moon, and site scenes. Generated worlds receive properties such as type, size, gravity, temperature, atmosphere, water, resources, hazards, and life based on their orbital band and planetary category.

Place points of interest on world scenes, create connected journals, and open linked site maps for closer exploration. If Instant Dungeons is installed, these locations can lead directly into generated interior maps.

Ships, NPCs, Factions, and Relationships:

Create ships, NPCs, and factions and place them throughout your campaign. Ships can use included models and color variants, NPCs can be generated with roles and personality prompts, and faction records help organize the groups shaping your setting.

Build bidirectional relationships between characters, ships, factions, and worlds. Assign NPCs as crew, connect vessels to organizations, associate factions with planets, and give each side of a relationship its own descriptive label.

Customizable World Profiles:

Customize planet and moon profiles around the needs of your campaign. Edit or hide individual default fields, hide or reveal every default field at once, replace the generated subtitle, and add custom information fields. Hiding a field does not delete its underlying world data.

Use the included planetary artwork or replace it with custom images. Images preserve their original aspect ratio throughout system and world scenes, allowing planets and moons to be represented by stations, satellites, megastructures, artificial worlds, or other custom objects without distortion.

Preview Panels, Journals, and Editing Tools:

Open cinematic preview panels for systems, planets, moons, stars, and other campaign elements. View profile information, navigate between connected scenes, create or open journals, inspect moons and companion stars, and access editing tools without leaving the current scene.

Generated content remains fully editable. Change sector backgrounds and markers, replace skyboxes, rename systems, modify stars and orbital paths, change planet or moon types, add or remove moons, select main worlds, and control labels, lighting, and animation after generation.

Nexus Integration and System Support:

Augur: Nexus connects sectors, systems, worlds, sites, ships, NPCs, and factions into a navigable campaign structure. Place supported content into scenes, create scene shortcuts, and move, rotate, scale, hide, reveal, or remove placed elements as your campaign evolves.

Augur: Sci-Fi is system-agnostic and can be used with Starfinder, Stars Without Number, Traveller, Mothership, or your own science-fiction setting.
