Text Sheets is a system-agnostic module that provides a new type of actor sheet. This sheet replaces the default system sheet with a clean, fully-featured text editor, similar to a Journal Entry page. It's the perfect solution for:
- Games that are narrative-focused or rules-light, where a simple notepad is more useful than a complex sheet.
- Playing RPG systems that don't have a dedicated Foundry VTT system.
- Players who prefer to manage their character information in a freeform text format.
The editor is fully integrated into the actor sheet window, providing a seamless and intuitive "digital notepad" experience for both GMs and players.
Features
- Universal Actor Sheet: Apply the "Text Sheet" to any actor in any game system.
- Integrated Rich Text Editor: The sheet features a full-featured text editor directly inside the actor window, allowing for headers, lists, tables, links, and more.
- System-Agnostic Design: Works with any game system, providing a consistent note-taking space for any character or NPC.
How to Use
Applying to a Single Actor
- Install and enable the module in your world.
- Open any Actor sheet (e.g., a player character or an NPC).
- Click on the sheet's title in the window header and select Sheet.
- Select "Text Sheet" from the dropdown menu and click Save Sheet Configuration.
- The sheet will reload. Use the Create Text Sheet button in the header to initialize the editor for that actor.
Setting as a Default Sheet
You can also set the Text Sheet as the default for specific actor types.
- Navigate to the Configure Settings menu in your game.
- Select Core settings.
- On the Configure Default Sheets window, find the Default Sheet option for the desired actor type and choose Text Sheet from the list.
