In-Game Social Media for Your Characters
The Chirp App adds a fully functional Twitter-style social network to your in-game smartphone. Characters post, follow, reply, and DM each other, all within the game world. GMs control NPC accounts and trending topics to drive narrative through social media. This module is a dedicated app extension for the Smartphone Widget.
Key Features
💬 Social Timeline
- Post & Reply: Write chirps (up to 280 characters), attach up to 4 images, create polls, and reply in threaded conversations.
- Rechirp & Quote: Amplify posts with rechirps or add commentary with quote chirps.
- Like, Bookmark, Share: Full engagement actions on every post.
- For You / Following: Toggle between a global feed and posts from accounts you follow.
👤 Profiles & Connections
- Character Profiles: Custom display name, bio, banner, avatar (image or color gradient), location, and website fields.
- Follow System: Follow/unfollow with dedicated Followers/Following lists.
- Mute & Block: Filter unwanted accounts from your timeline.
- Direct Messages: Private conversations between any two accounts.
🔍 Explore & Trends
- Search: Find accounts and chirps by keyword.
- Trending Topics: GM-defined trends appear on the Explore page. Click to see related posts, people, and media.
🛠️ GM Tools
- NPC Accounts: Create and manage NPC social media profiles. Post as any NPC directly from the GM panel.
- Fake Engagement: Set artificial like/rechirp/reply counts on any post to simulate popularity.
- Trend Management: Add, edit, and remove trending topics to shape the in-game narrative.

- Smartphone Widget: This module is an extension and requires the Smartphone Widget core module to function.
