A guided character builder and level-up helper for the Starfinder Second Edition system.
Building a character by dragging items onto a blank sheet is slow, and it's easy to miss a boost, a skill or a feat. The Character Forge walks you through it one step at a time, in the same order as the Player Core, with the rules text next to every choice. It checks your work as you go, then builds a character that's ready to play.
Features
- Step-by-step creation: ancestry, heritage, background, class, attribute boosts, skills, feats, spells, gear and details. New characters can start at level 1, 2 or 3.
- A Level Up button on the character sheet walks you through each new level, and you can undo the last one. The button glows when the character has enough XP.
- Players can build their own characters. The GM's client creates the actor and hands it to the player, so players don't need permission to create actors.
- Feat prerequisite checks. Feats you don't qualify for are hidden by default, and you can expand any feat to read its full description.
- Choices like "pick a skill" or "pick a weapon group" are answered inside the Forge, instead of a pile of pop-ups on the sheet afterwards.
- Import characters from Hephaistos 2E (its Pathmuncher JSON export) at any level from 1 to 20. Every step is filled in for you to review before creating.
- Export any character as JSON, to back it up or move it to another world, or as a printable PDF character sheet.
- Rules-backed mixed heritages, plus optional homebrew ancestries and backgrounds. The GM can turn homebrew off.
- Works with Pathfinder Anachronism: Pathfinder ancestries, classes and feats show up alongside the Starfinder ones.
- A text size control for easier reading.
How to use: Open the Character Forge from the Actors sidebar. To level up, open a character sheet and click Level Up in the header.
The Forge reads everything from the compendiums you have installed and doesn't ship any rules content of its own. Full documentation, screenshots and a macro API are on the GitHub page.
