Quest System is a system-agnostic module that adds a complete quest management and mission tracking system to Foundry VTT.
With a clean and immersive interface designed for both GMs and players, Quest System allows you to:
- Create and Manage Quests: GMs can create multiple quests, customize their names, descriptions, opening messages, completion messages, caution messages, objectives, rewards, themes, and assigned participants through a dedicated quest editor.
- Quest Objective Management: Each quest can include different types of objectives, including manual objectives, hunt objectives, and timer objectives. This gives GMs flexibility to create simple tasks, combat-driven missions , or time-based challenges.
- Reward Management: Quests can include message rewards and item rewards. When a quest is completed, item rewards can be automatically delivered to assigned characters, reducing manual work and keeping progression organized.
- Player Quest View: Players can view only the quests assigned to them or to their characters. Quest information is displayed in a clear layout, with objective progress, visible rewards, quest status, and detailed quest information.
- GM Quest Control: GMs can start, pause, resume, complete, cancel, edit, and delete quests directly from the quest sidebar. This keeps quest progression fully under GM control while allowing players to follow their active objectives during the session.
- Hidden Objectives and Rewards: GMs can mark objectives and rewards as hidden, allowing secret goals, surprise rewards, and progressive quest reveals when the quest is completed or resolved.
- Themed Quest Notifications: Quest System includes immersive start and completion notifications with customizable themes, colors, icons, background images, animations, and auto-close timing. Themes include default, sci-fi, medieval, and steampunk styles.
- Quest Sidebar Integration: The module adds a dedicated Quests tab to the Foundry sidebar through LoboWerewolf Hub, making quests easy to access without cluttering the core Foundry interface.
- System-Agnostic: Designed to work with any game system while relying on Foundry’s core actor, item, and user features.
Perfect for:
- Campaigns With Structured Progression: Ideal for games that use missions, contracts, or MMO-inspired quest systems.
- Combat and Exploration Quests: Great for sessions involving hunt targets, timed challenges, item rewards, and player-specific objectives.
Notice
This module does not include predefined quests, objectives, rewards, or story content. All quests are created and managed by the GM, ensuring full flexibility and compatibility with any campaign or rule system.
