Player Approval adds a straightforward way for characters to judge one another's actions during a given game session.
Why Use This?
- Did the Bard seduce that cute girl you were about to hit on before you could?
- Did the party's Wizard choose the dialogue option, "I didn't ask how many people were in the inn, I said I cast fireball!"
- Did your local Cleric just heal you to full after that really bad encounter with werewolves?
With a customizable keybinding, players can quickly submit an "approve" or "disapprove" response to all the above scenarios, and more!
How It Works
Submissions appear live in a small UI for all players to see, which automatically closes after 1 minute. Other players can throw their opinions in as well during this time, with an additional option to "Abstain," and the results are posted to the chat afterwards.
Default Keybindings
- Shift + 1: Approve
- Shift + 2: Disapprove
- Shift + 3: Abstain
Upcoming Features
- Ability for the initiator to add a little description of the event that started the approval window
- Customizable duration for the approval UI
- Ability to configure who can initialize the approval window via game permissions
- A window to track who's approved and disapproved of what across the history of the game
Disclaimer
This is just a silly little module inspired by popular games like Baldur's Gate 3 where NPCs can approve or disapprove of particular actions the player can take, and isn't meant to be taken too seriously.
Please treat everything as in character and from the perspective of the game's characters - and if you genuinely disapprove of anything another player is doing, it's always best to talk it out.
