I used generative ai for the blood splatter's base images to get a realistic blood form that I could then use css to put a color filter on and project to the interface to get the end result we see in the final product. As for code, I mainly used ai's code as a learning tool since I am a visual learner. It gave me a direction. I saw what it was doing and began to understand what it was attempting, I then coded it the right way using the right techniques, functions, paths
It was a massive help for generating the readme and changelog though, those kinds of things aren't my strength
A lightweight visual enhancement module for Foundry VTT (v13+) that provides immersive, gameplay-triggered, situational effects. It works perfectly right out of the box, while offering deep customization options for those who want to fine-tune the experience. Currently the effects are limited to when a character gets down to 0HP, but I have more planned for the future.
- DM Master Defaults: DMs can set "World Defaults" to define the initial settings for all players while still allowing for individual customization.
- Downed VFX: Triggers a vignette and blood splatter overlay when a character reaches 0 HP.
- Synchronized Display: Optional setting to see visual effects when ANY party member is downed. The effect will display using the specific colors chosen by that player for their character.
- Customization: Complete control over vignette colors, blood color, fade durations, and screen-shake intensity.
- Live Preview: Integrated test functionality within the settings menu to preview effects instantly.
