What is Mindscape?
Mindscape gives GMs a dedicated workspace for organizing their campaign and running a theater of mind game. It lives right in your sidebar, and it's built around one idea: everything you need to run a session should be one click away, not buried in journal entries and folders.
Features:
Locations
Build a visual, nested map for your sessions. Each location is a card with an image (or without, if you prefer), and you can nest locations inside each other to create a hierarchy. Drag them around, connect them, drop into sub-locations. It's your world at a glance.
Map Markers
If you want a more traditional map that you and your players can see then the locations can also placed onto a map as map markers! With more than 100 icons to differentiate the markers and with one click you'll open up the location on Mindscape!
Mindscape Scenes
Click "Show" on any location and your players see it as a full-screen scene in a theater of mind manner. Drag actors onto it and they appear as portrait tokens with smooth fade-in animations. They function like real scenes combat wise, you can target portraits, attack and damage, and you can leave the scene and come back and the combat as well as the initiative order will be completely saved in that particular scene!
Actors board
A visual board for tracking how your NPCs and PCs connect. Draw connections between actors, add colored tags, and keep notes on each character. Click any token's notes button (works on ALL tokens, not just mindscape scenes) to pull up their notes instantly. Drawing tools have also been added so you can distinguish groups and factions!
Prepare your locations thoroughly!
Drop notes directly onto your location canvas. You can also drop journals, music, and even battlemaps for quick access/play!
Clues Kit Integration
If you're using Clues Kit, Mindscape ties right into it. Link clue folders directly to your locations, so when you navigate to a location you're one click away from its clues. Create folder hierarchies that mirror your location structure, or link to existing folders. Everything stays in sync.
Plot Line
Plan your session as a flowchart of beats. Connect them, branch them for player choices, and display the flow line right on your canvas (or floating on screen) during play. Click through beats as your session progresses, expand them to read your notes. Your players never see it, but you always know what's next.
Sticky Note
There is always that those pesky little information pieces that keep escaping a GM's mind throughout the session, now you can place a sicky note so you can never forget what is important!
BIG FEATURE: Pop Out!
On V14 you can pop out not only mindscape but your whole sidebar to a new screen so you can have all your organisation tools on your second screen and the play on your primary!
The module was made with ease of use in mind, everything is drag-and-drop. Locations, notes, actors, the plot line, the sidebar width. If you can see it, you can probably drag it.
P.S: There are some features that haven't even been shown in this video as it is merely for showcase, and I didn't want it to be too long! The youtube channel has videos about Mindscape!
Head over to my Patreon to get this module and many others! (Note: Automatic Foundry Installation requires Knight tier and above! Otherwise the Initiate tier, which is cheaper, allows manual download and installation)
