Package Description

Link one actor to another to gain access to their roll data via @_linked attribute.

Primary purpose is to support Familiars, Animal Companions, Eidolons, Phantoms, etc. that benefit from direct references to their owner's sheet.

This is also accessible via actor.getRollData()._linked for macros as you'd expect, nothing unusual is done with that.

Limitations

Chaining linked actors is explicitly prevented to avoid infinite loops.

There's also some issues with adjusting actor health, though the cause is under investigation.


This functionality was formerly part of the Koboldworks supermodule but now provided as standalone.

The current version will attempt to salvage and migrate old actor link data from the supermodule settings, but this is not guaranteed to work.


Latest version (1.2.2)

  • Fix some problems with generating proper actor link.
  • Link data should no longer be stale
    • Link data is now renewed with each getRollData() call instead of only on force refresh.
      This ensures changes on parent are up-to-date without needing to force update on the child also.
    • Force refreshing of roll data has been removed as it is no longer necessary with above.

Previous version (1.2.1)

  • Fix actor linking failing transparently when the previous link was not removed.
  • Added warnings for some invalid actions that were silently ignored.
