This package contains art, text, or software code produced using generative AI.
AI used to verify the code written against errors that were thrown in Foundry. AI used to create the "clickable button" on the chat card.
Emergency D20 adds a single, powerful feature to the dnd5e system which is the ability for players to spend a special “Emergency D20” item to roll an extra d20 after seeing their initial attack roll, skill check, or saving throw—right from the chat card.
When a player rolls any d20-based test, the chat message automatically displays a “Use Emergency D20” button (only if the actor has an Emergency D20 item with quantity remaining). Clicking the button:
-
Consumes 1 quantity from the Emergency D20 item
-
Rolls one additional d20 using the same modifiers as the original test
-
Posts the new roll directly to chat
-
Prevents further Emergency D20 use on that same test
This module integrates cleanly into normal gameplay without modifying character sheets, roll formulas, or system behavior. It simply enhances chat cards with a one-click “panic button” option that players can trigger before the DM reveals the result.
