Bugbear's Mechanics is a Foundry VTT module introducing highly opinionated D&D 5e mechanics, automations, and quality-of-life improvements, helping you spend less time managing mechanics and more time playing.
Feature Highlights
- Overtime effects: automate recurring damage, healing, saves, and checks, with effects ending after successful saves or other configured outcomes.
- Activation triggers: react to movement, attacks, damage, and healing, with filters for creature types, HP, damage types, and more.
- Emanations: trigger activities when creatures enter, leave, or start or end turns within a token's emanation, with configurable trigger limits.
- Enchantments: control recipient and item limits, simplify item selection across multiple targets, automatically choose preferred items, and send application requests to the GM.
- Chat improvements: compact attack and damage cards, clear per-target outcomes and damage previews, collapsible attacks, and quick Apply/Restore controls.
- Flexible rerolls: switch between Advantage, Normal, and Disadvantage using stored dice, roll fresh dice, or change damage between Normal and Critical.
- Damage automation: support for Arcane Ward, Undead Fortitude, Death Ward, Undying Sentinel, Elemental Adept's resistance bypass, and Massive Damage.
- Damage and effect tracking: restore recorded damage applications and remove effects applied through chat.
- Condition handling: streamline grapple escapes, end qualifying grapples automatically, switch prone creatures to crawling, and account for movement spent standing up.
- Quick document access: double-click chat icons, actor names, and target pills to open sheets or images.
- Reusable chat popouts: keep frequently used activities and multiattack workflows within easy reach.
- Token HUD improvements: labeled, sorted, searchable status effects with adjustable layout and scale.
