Animater brings automatic spell, attack, action, and condition animations to Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e, and D&D 5e in Foundry VTT.
Powered by Sequencer and JB2A, Animater combines visual effects, cosmetic token movement, and optional sounds. Enable entire catalogs for quick setup, or pick individual entries for your table.
- Broad animation catalogs: Spells, weapons, feats, actions, features, effects, and conditions.
- Template-aware spells: Visuals follow bursts, cones, lines, emanations, and walls.
- Persistent effects: Condition and effect visuals follow tokens and end when their associated effect ends.
- Recipe Studio: Customize animations with timeline editing, live previews, adjustable timing, sound, and token motion.
- Per-player quality settings: Full, Balanced, Low, or Off to suit each device.
- Optional enhancements: Token Magic FX filters, FXMaster scene effects, and supported sound libraries.
- Integrations: Automated Animations, Spell Arsenal, and Trigger Engine.
Requires Foundry VTT 14, Sequencer 4.2+, and either JB2A Free or JB2A Patreon. Every catalog animation includes a Free fallback. Animation media comes from installed asset packs.
Automatic playback starts disabled—open Animater and enable your preferred catalogs or entries.
