The Door - How about those doors? Formed in 1965 after a chance meeting between Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek in Los Angeles…Wait, no, not those Doors, the ones that just happen to be appearing in the middle of nowhere, and to which tracks lead that don’t end up anywhere! Are these dimensional doorways, bold mimics experimenting with new things, or something altogether more surprising, or sinister? Fully animated and available in three threshold variants, with the same (or is it?!) wooden door appearing at the top of a stony cliff overlooking the ocean, or in the middle of a parched desert, these maps can serve as a very literal doorway to adventure!
Underground Lair - Better living, underground! I have long seen the appeal, and you don't need to be a supervillain to want to make your home beneath the surface of the earth, out of sight of any pesky people and/or do-good meddlers. With excellent year-round temperatures and spacious chambers where you can store your friends, family, or loved ones in specially designed stasis pods, whatever global calamity unfolds in the world above will pass you by as you prepare for the future. Also available in an empty variant to be furnished to your black heart's content, get your hands on this underground habitat today, because who knows what tomorrow brings?
Wild West - I hear the train a-comin’, it’s rolling round the bend! The distant sound of a steam engine, tumbleweeds twisting in the wind, faint music coming from the nearby saloon – welcome to this remote and emblematic settlement along the railroad, population not a whole lot, and many of them horses. Featuring a train station, general store, warehouse, saloon, and horse pen, this two-bit town has everything a weary traveller needs, and no doubt some trouble they don’t. Available with or without the choo-choo train, take your party out west today with this map. All aboard!
Burrow - Hey neighbour, can I burrow a cup of sugar? Proper neighbourly manners aside, what manner of beast could dwell in such a sizeable lair, nestled among the knotted roots of gnarled trees? If that comfortable bed of fluffy feathers is anything to go by, whatever it is either bears feathers of its own, or has a particular predilection for avian prey! Fully animated and available in two additional versions, one without the gruesome humanoid remains, and the other where some unwary travellers have made camp in this roomy den, this is the perfect location for a monstrous encounter, or for your party to unwittingly take shelter from the elements. Hoot growl!
The Lounge - Lounge against the machine! Nothing quite like driving up to the local lounge after a long day at work to have a drink, socialize, and catch a show. There’s no way that such a classy joint could ever be the chosen location for some shady dealings, the site of illicit transactions, or any sort of black market traffic. Certainly not a place that is likely to be raided either the fuzz, a determined party of scoundrels, or both! Fully animated for a rainy day, and available in both intact and wrecked versions, put on your best leisure suit, grab a cocktail with a tiny umbrella on it, and take cover!
In the City - Come along, take a stroll down by the water. Browse the not-so-temporary stalls of street merchants hawking their wares and filling the air with the appetising aromas of street food. Gaze out onto the lazy flow of the canal, at passing ships and colourful bunting floating gently in the wind. Take a breather in a verdant courtyard, or dangle your feet into the clear waters of the canal: you’re home. Fully animated and available in two versions, by day and by night, this slice of urban tranquility is yours to disrupt and destroy, or to delight and dazzle your players!
