Wildharvest is a module designed to make searching, scavenging, foraging, and harvesting scenes fast and interactive in D&D 5e.
The Game Master prepares a search activity, selects the appropriate skill and loot compendiums, and sends the scene to the whole party or selected players. Each player chooses an owned character, performs the requested check, and receives rewards generated from the configured loot rules.
Results are resolved by the active Game Master and rewards are delivered automatically to the selected character’s inventory. Players can also choose a compatible D&D5e container, such as a backpack or pouch, as the destination for their loot.

Loot generation
Wildharvest can generate rewards using one of two systems.
Rarity-based loot
Loot Points are spent according to configurable rarity costs, weights, and quantity formulas. The module attempts to draw different compendium entries before repeating the same item.
Combined GP value
Loot Points are converted into a configurable target value in GP. Wildharvest searches for a randomized combination of items whose total price is as close as possible to that target while respecting the configured tolerance.
Prices expressed in platinum, gold, electrum, silver, or copper are normalized automatically.

Where can I get items and compendiums?
1. Create your own compendiums
You can create your own Items directly in Foundry VTT and organize them into Item compendiums. Wildharvest can use any standard Item compendium available in your world.
For the best results:
- Items used by the Combined GP value system should have valid D&D5e prices.
- Items used by the Rarity system should have their rarity configured correctly.
This gives you complete control over the available resources, their value, rarity, descriptions, and artwork.
2. Use community-created content
You can also use compatible Item compendiums created by the Foundry community.
One option I highly recommend is D&D5e — Kris’s Compendium of Trade Goods. It contains more than 1,000 trade goods, including gems, lumber, ores, herbs, alchemical materials, and many other useful resources.
It is an excellent and exceptionally well-crafted collection—definitely worth checking out!
