Overview
Actor Types
- Story: The story actor allows the GM to plan a story and organise Story Aspects, Archetypes, and Players. It also displays the currently available Omen-Dice and the dice bag. Player characters (PC) can be added to a story by dropping their actor onto the sheet. It is intended as the general control hub for a given story.
- PC: The player actor allows players to track their wounds and choose their aspect ratings. Once an archetype is chosen, the player can also pick perks and select gear. Perks and gear can also directly be dropped into the sheet. Note that some functionality is only available once a player character is connected to a story. In the background tab the description and the relations from the current archetype will be synched and can be edited.
- NPC: A minimalistic sheet to take notes, give NPCs a portrait and a token. The sheet also includes an inventory section which can be configured to allow players to access the inventory by double clicking the token on the map.
Item Types
- Archetype: An archetype can be added to a story and chosen by a PC. Perks and items can be added to it. Items can be set as guaranteed or selectable, the amount of selectable items can be set. In the background tab, a general description, suggested traits and relations to other archetypes can be set.
- Perk: In cludes a description that will be dsplayed in the PC actor sheet. Active effects that will take place if the perk is picked by a player can also be added.
- Gear: Includes a description and allows for the quantity/maximum quantity to be set.
Rolls Rolls can be initiated from a player character's (PC) sheet. The config popup allows for the risk level and the check difficulty to be set. Flaws and edges are also displayed in the config and can be added or removed, flaws can also be marked as omen flaws. Once a roll is made, dice are randomly drawn from the dice bag and the result is calculated. Wounds and strains a character might suffer are indicated in the result and can directly be applied from there.
Rolls can also be triggered via inline checks.
Roadmap
I have multiple additions to the system planned, the following is an incomplete list in no specific order
Adding active effects for perks, so that they can affect PC properties, e.g. the maximum amount of woundsAdding inline checks for aspects, which allow for roll properties to be parsedMore drag and drop utility for items in sheets, including reorderingDedicated tab in the Story and PC actor sheets for notes and descriptionsDedicated tab in the archetype item sheet for descriptionsPosting Gear and Perks to chatImplementation of the final sacrifice mechanicAllowing for perks to add roll rules (edges, roll behaviour)Story independent archetypes on the PC sheet
As of v1.5.0 all items of the original release roadmap have been implemented. Further plans can be found in the issue section of the github page.
